24 place Refrigerated Micro-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: 24 place Refrigerated Micro-centrifuge
Short description:

An intuitive control panel with liquid crystal display, brushless motor, and cooling capacity to spare are just a few of the features found in the SelectSpin R refrigerated microcentrifuge.

The user-friendly control panel combines digital and analogue control to make setting of operating parameters quick and easy. Speed can be set in either rpm or RCF. Operation of the unit can be timed, continuous, or momentary, using the “quick” button. Vibration free operation is ensured the SelectSpin R’s motor isolation system. In the event of a significant imbalance, excessive vibration is electronically detected and operation of the centrifuge is automatically stopped. Deceleration at the end of a run is very quick, but will not disrupt samples.

The powerful refrigeration system in the SelectSpin R maintains temperatures as low as -10°C and can reach 4°C from room temperature in less than 8 minutes. A uniquely designed, easy access 24 x 1.5/2.0ml rotor is supplied with the centrifuge. Individual tube slots in the solid aluminum rotor support tubes along their length and contain the sample in the event of tube failure. Adapters are available for smaller tubes as well as PCR strips. The rotor is seated on a tapered shaft which facilitates easy removal for cleaning and autoclaving.

24 place Micro-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: 24 place Micro-centrifuge
Short description:

This high performance microliter centrifuge is perfect for applications requiring higher g-forces, such as pelleting DNA.

Technological advances, including smaller motors, compact microprocessors and lightweight construction materials, have contributed to the design of the powerful Force 1624 microliter centrifuges. Small in size, it has not sacrificed on quality and durability.

The advanced electronics maintain tight control over operating parameters. Values are set with the membrane keypad and displayed digitally. Speed can be set and displayed in rpm or rcf.

A brushless, maintenance free motor provides for fast acceleration and smooth operation. Airflow patterns within the chamber have been engineered to keep samples cool and help to reduce rotor noise.

The Force 1624 is supplied complete with removable, autoclavable rotors. Individual tube slots in the rotors support the tubes to reduce the incidence of tube breakage. The rotor accepts twenty four 1.5 ml tubes directly and smaller tubes with adapters. The Force 1624 is designed for use in refrigerated environments.

18 place Micro-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: 18 place Micro-centrifuge
Short description:

The Force 1418 is a digital microliter centrifuge designed for applications requiring up to 14,000 x g. Variable speed makes it useful for low g-force applications.

Operation of the unit is controlled by a microprocessor, while time and rep/rcf are set and displayed digitally. Airflow patterns within the chamber are engineered to keep samples cool and reduce rotor noise. A brushless, maintenance free motor provides fast acceleration and smooth operation.

The Force 1418 is supplied complete with a rotor for eighteen 1.5 ml tubes. Adapters for smaller tubes are available separately.

The small size and low profile of this centrifuge make it convenient for use on the bench, under a hood or in a refrigerated environment.

12 place Micro-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: 12 place Micro-centrifuge
Short description:

The Force 712 is a digital micro-centrifuge designed for low to medium speed applications.

Operation of the unit is controlled by a microprocessor while time and rpm/rcf are set and displayed digitally. Airflow patterns within the chamber are engineered to keep samples cool and reduce rotor noise. The centrifuge is supplied complete with a removable, autoclavable rotor. The rotor accepts twelve 1.5 ml tubes directly and smaller tubes with adapters, sold separately. The small size and low profile of the Force 712 make it convenient for use on the bench, under a hood or in a refrigerated environment.

All of the Force microliter centrifuges are supplied complete with a removable, autoclavable rotor. The 512 and 712 models accept twelve 1.5 ml tubes.

8 place Micro-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: 8 place Micro-centrifuge
Short description:

The Force Mini is a personal sized centrifuge, ideal for microfiltration, quick spin downs from the walls and caps of tubes and low speed centrifugation of tubes and strips. The centrifuge is supplied complete with two rotors. The micro-tube rotor accepts eight 1.5ml tubes. Adapters are supplied to hold 0.5ml and 0.4ml tubes. The strip tube rotor will accept four 0.2ml tube strips, such as those used for PCR, or thirty-two individual 0.2 ml tubes. Rotors are quickly and easily interchanged.

Operation of the Force Mini is controlled by the on/off power switch on the back of the unit. Alternatively, with the switch in the on position, the rotor will start spinning when the transparent lid is closed, and will stop when the lid release button is pressed. The rotors start and stop quickly.

The Force Mini requires a minimum of bench space. It is easily transported from the bench to the hood or cold room - wherever it is needed.

Spin Prep 2 microarray slide Mini-centrifuge

Product thumbnail: Spin Prep 2 microarray slide Mini-centrifuge
Short description:

Perfect for drying microarray slides, the Force SpinPrep is a personal sized unit that requires minimal bench space.

The rotor in the Force SpinPrep is fitted with two slide cassettes that catch liquid shed from the slides. Each cassette accommodates one standard sized slide. Slides can be dried in approximately 10 seconds. Quick acceleration and a smooth stop eliminate splashing that can cause artifacts to appear on the slides.

Similar in operation to the Force Mini, the SpinPrep can be started and stopped by the on/off power switch. Operation of the rotor may also be started simply by closing the lid of the centrifuge while the switch is in the on position. Pressing the lid release button stops operation.

The Force SpinPrep is suitable for use in the cold room.

SelectSpin Plate Spinner

Product thumbnail: SelectSpin Plate Spinner
Short description:

SelectSpin Plate Spinner is the first centrifuge designed specifically for quick and easy centrifugation of samples in microplates. Centrifuges that accept microplates are typically larger units that take up valuable space on the bench.

The unique design of the Plate Spinner, results in a compact centrifuge that has an extremely small footprint - just 6 x 6 inches. Two standard microplates are loaded through a slot in the top of the unit.

Plates are loaded vertically - surface tension keeps samples in place so there is no danger of spilling samples. Upon pressing the button on the front of the unit, the rotor quickly accelerates the microplates to 2,500 rpm. Releasing the button engages the brake and brings the rotor to a stop.

For temperature sensitive applications, the Plate Spinner may be used in a cold room.
